What is Functional Textile?

Functional textile is a special use and intelligent performance in cover and beautify aspects. Those super functional textiles will not change by outer environment.

For functional outerwear fabric, there are different functions can be used in different occasions:

1. Casual wear: anti-microbial, deodorization, mould proof, mite proof, self-cleaning, anti-static, anti UV, electromagnetic proof, wash-and-wear, shrink-proof, etc.

Functional underwear fabric: anti-microbial, deodorization, mothptoof, mite proof, mould proof, far IR, heater, negative oxygen ion, moisture absorption, quick-dry, etc. Those functional textiles mix with the natural fiber (cotton). Some fabrics only have single function, while some have several functions together, which are called multi-functional textiles.

Compared with functional fabric, there is a fabric called intelligent fabric, so this kind of fabric is according to the environment to change some good conditions to human being. If we use the external stimulus methods like heat, it will make the fabric recovery to the original mode. And the functions are anti-wrinkling, washable and wash-and-wear. The photosensitive fabric can be changed by light, it is mainly used in military and marine areas. The attemperation fabric can be changed by outer circumstance temperature, it is mainly used in military and big temperature difference environment. Immersion resistance fabric can prevent the seawater permeate into the clothes, and it has high breathability and water absorption.
