Definition

EN471 T/C FR 35% cotton /65% polyester coverall is a one‑piece high‑visibility flame‑retardant protective overall. It is woven from 35% cotton / 65% polyester blended fabric, processed with flame‑retardant finishing, and manufactured according to the old European high‑visibility standard EN 471.

Important note: EN 471 has been officially replaced by EN ISO 20471 for high‑visibility protective clothing in current‑day EU market.

Material & Construction

35% Cotton + 65% Polyester (T/C blend)
Cotton component brings soft touch, moisture‑absorbing property and better heat‑contact performance. Higher polyester ratio greatly improves fabric tensile strength, tear resistance, abrasion resistance and dimensional stability, reducing shrinkage during washing.
FR (Flame Retardant)
The blended fabric is finished with flame‑retardant chemicals. It restricts flame spread and achieves self‑extinguishment after removing ignition source, lowering burn risks for operators.
Coverall
Integrated one‑piece work garment covering torso, arms and legs, reducing exposed skin area for full‑body protection.
EN 471
Obsolete European standard for high‑visibility warning clothing, setting requirements for fluorescent background fabric and retro‑reflective tapes to guarantee wearer recognizability under dim‑light and poor‑visibility working conditions.
