Four Experiences in Preventing Arc Damage

The implementation of personal electric shock prevention measures, on the one hand, is to do well in the management and use of safety equipment and traditional protective equipment. On the other hand, the application of anti arc clothing is gradually popularized in the prevention of arc damage, and the following experience has been obtained in practice.

(1) The use of anti arc clothing includes outdoor high pressure field, GIS room, high pressure room, capacitor room, reactor room, arc extinguishing device room, switch station, distribution room, switch box and other places. Remote operation and climbing operation do not require wearing long gown anti arc clothing.

(2) Anti arc clothing and work clothes, safety helmets, etc. shall be used as safety protection articles, and the places to be used shall be used according to regulations, regardless of whether it is sunny or rainy.

(3) In summer, when wearing high temperature anti arc clothing for outdoor operation, it is easy for operators to get heatstroke. For this reason, on the one hand, we can actively seek for protective products of more comfortable materials. On the other hand, we suggest that we should reduce wear time and use them only at operating points.

(4) The full closed shield is likely to have an impact on the sensitivity of the operator's hearing (listening to operation task) and the visual (breathing production steam) during the use. The transparent color panel makes the view clearer and more favored by front-line employees.
