Description

Definition

EN 471 T/C FR cotton/polyester coverall is a one‑piece protective work garment made of cotton‑polyester blended (T/C) flame‑retardant fabric, manufactured to comply with the former European high‑visibility standard EN 471. Note: EN 471 has been superseded by EN ISO 20471 for high‑visibility protective clothing.

Material & Construction

  • T/C (cotton/polyester blend): Mix of cotton and polyester fibres. Cotton delivers soft touch, moisture‑wicking comfort and heat‑resistance; polyester improves fabric tensile strength, tear resistance, abrasion performance and dimensional stability.
  • FR (Flame Retardant): The textile is treated with flame‑retardant finishing. When exposed to fire, it limits flame spread and self‑extinguishes once the heat source is removed, reducing burn injury risks.
  • Coverall: Full‑body one‑piece work design, covering torso, arms and legs, widely used for industrial site protection.
  • EN 471: Legacy EU standard for high‑visibility warning clothing, specifying performance requirements for retro‑reflective tapes and fluorescent background fabric to ensure wearers are highly visible in low‑light and poor‑visibility working environments.

Core Performance

  1. Flame retardancy: Resists ignition, inhibits flame propagation, self‑extinguishes away from fire source.
  2. High‑visibility safety: Fluorescent base fabric plus retro‑reflective strips meet EN 471 visibility requirements for traffic‑related and field‑operation scenarios.
  3. Mechanical property: Polyester component enhances tear‑proof and wear‑resistant capacity; cotton part optimises wearing breathability.
  4. Whole‑body coverage: One‑piece structure avoids garment gap exposure for comprehensive body protection.

More details

  1. There has pocket on anti-static coverall left sleeve.
